So I run across this listing on AutoTrader and think that something clearly is off — a 2013 Shelby convertible for $499,999!! I contact the dealership to ask what the real price is, and get this response: "The car belongs to our owner and he is not ready to sell yet. That is why it is priced like it is. He would let it go at that price, but it is the real price." Why even put the ad up then? I award Greenville Chrysler the Idiot of the Day trophy.

Seriously. I can understand it being a typo with an extra 9 in there but come on!

You want an idiot dealer?
I know a guy who is a parts manager at a nearby Ford dealership. The owner of the place bought a new Cobra Jet with the intent of using it as a street car.
If you are unaware of how not street-legal one of those is, here's a hint- it doesn't even come with a VIN!

It's street legal in Somalia, so there's that.

Yet more eveidence that no dealer knows a damn thing about the cars they sell.
